Internship Opportunity w/ IDHF-NY
Summer Internships for the Dreamers of I Have A Dream Foundation-New York
The New York Metropolitan Chapter of “I Have A Dream Foundation” (IHDF-NY) is currently pairing high school students (“Dreamers”) from underserved housing development communities with short-term internships at local corporations, businesses, and non-profit organizations. In exchange for these Dreamers dedicating their service and diversity of perspective to your business, IHDF-NY hopes to introduce Dreamers to ways to contribute to their communities professionally. These Dreamers need your help.
The IHDF-NY Career Awareness Program is seeking summer internships at businesses and nonprofits in which to place Dreamers. The exposure to role models, earnest responsibility, and professional interactions is vital to these Dreamers’ development and often become the turning point that influences their academic and professional trajectory toward becoming self-sufficient.
IHDF-NY is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering entire grades of schoolchildren from low-income communities with sustained academic support from grades K-12, mentorship, and leadership development, and ultimately financial assistance throughout their years of college enrollment, enabling them to realize their academic potential.
