Meet our 2010 Charity Partner -The Children’s Storefront

We are excited to announce our 2010 charity partner, The Children’s Storefront (www.thechildrensstorefront.org/) an independent and tuition-free school in Harlem. Founded in 1966 to “provide a safe haven for Harlem children to engage in a variety of educational activities,” the Children’s Storefront today is a “caring community of educators, children, families, and friends who are focused on each student’s daily achievement towards a better future.” Our newest charity partner has a solid history of providing excellent pre-school to eighth grade education in one of Harlem’s most troubled neighborhoods. Students learn critical thinking, creativity and how to achieve life goals as well as classroom grades. In the process The Children’s Storefront provides opportunities and life-changing education to some of the city’s highest-need children.

We are honored to join with The Children’s Storefront in the upcoming year. We are already working to plan our first event with the school – so stay posted for more details!
