Our Impact
When we build strong TIES to great organizations, the resulting impact is exponential. Over the three years since our founding, the men and women of nycTIES have partnered with six critical nonprofit organizations, developing as leaders while making a tangible impact on New York City. Charity Partnerships: New York City chapter of the American Heart Association, Harlem RBI, Gilda's Club New York City and Ronald McDonald House of New York, Career Gear, and New Alternatives for Children.
New Alternatives for ChildrenEvent: From the Stage to the Streets nycTIES kicked-off the festivities on Stage - the stage of Merkin Concert Hall - on Saturday, September 27. On this evening of elegance and style, contemporary classical composer David Homan excited our audience with the performance of "Einstein's Dreams" and other works inspired by the children of NAC. Second, on November 12th, nycTIES hosted its Fall Benefit, part two of From the Stage to the Streets. This second event brought the Streets to several hundred attendees - featuring some of the best and most intriguing buskers found on New York City's streets, sidewalks and subway platforms. In the end, the 2-part initiative involved over 500 young professionals and raised $25,000 for NAC. Donated: $25,000 Winning Program: NAC Holiday Party Impact: nycTIES voted to allocate our collective $25,000 donation to NAC’s flagship event: The NAC Christmas Party at the Javitz Center. In such a difficult economic year, nycTIES devoted our funds and volunteer manpower to insure the families enjoyed the same holiday experience as they had in years past. “From the moment they stepped through NAC’s front door, nycTIES has demonstrated their commitment to our mission and families and we at NAC feel truly grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such a dedicated organization.” - Arlene Goldsmith, Ph.D., Executive Director, New Alternatives for Children, Inc.

“Career Gear is built on volunteerism and the fact that nycTIES is all volunteer-run and driven, really spoke to us. We have such a perfect alignment with nycTIES and with both of our missions. It’s such a natural fit and we’re thrilled to continue working with them.” - Gary Field, Founder, Career Gear

Also, nycTIES' donation helped to underwrite costs for Gilda's Club flagship event, "NoogieFest," a Halloween-themed festival that brought together the children of both organizations.
"It is unusual to find an organization that is dedicated to helping non-profits on so many levels as nycTIES. They have supported us with their volunteers, raised money on our behalf - and introduced our organization to their friends, associates and peers - an audience who had been unfamiliar with our program of cancer support. Most importantly, they embraced our organization and partnered with us to make sure everything we did was a success!" - Migdalia Torres, Director of Programming, Gilda's Club NYC
