David Homan

Age: 29
Hometown: Gainesville, FL

David Homan is the epitome of the Renaissance man. He's the executive director of a nonprofit, he's a writer, he's a gifted contemporary classical composer, and above all else, he's just a great, caring person.nycTIES CFO Bharani Rajakumar introduced David, a close friend, to the group and David in kind has been a strong supporter of our efforts. On Sept. 27, David brought his amazing talents and compassion to bear when he organized, financed, and produced an incredible concert on behalf of our charity partners, New Alternatives for Children, which kicked off the first half of our two-part fundraising initiative, From the Stage to the Streets."I got involved I got involved because I saw my concert as a good opportunity to promote nycTIES and NAC to a broader community," he said.Joining David on the stage were some of the world's most dynamic musicians. For his extraordinary efforts, we want to extend our sincerest gratitude to someone we're blessed to call a friend, and it's because of people like him that we're proud to be living in New Yok.

Erin Price

Age: 27
Hometown: Cranbury, NJ

Despite shouldering the workload as a full-time Master's of Public Administration student at New York University's Wagner School of Public Service, Erin Price never hesitated to lend a significant helping hand when we reached out her.Serving as a leader on our Events and Marketing team, Erin helped coordinate and direct a terrific evening for our Sept. 27 concert event. Not one to rest on her laurels, she's definitely forging ahead on our future projects.Erin met nycTIES president Alex Price this summer and -- to our great benefit -- decided to join the group at his encouragement. "I really identified with their mission because I once started a young professionals group at a previous non-profit but it never had the intentions of nycTIES," she said. "It is so important to not just have social events but to get people involved with volunteering and other things which allow young New Yorkers to see how much we need to give back to our city."
