Founding Story
nycTIES co-founder/president, Alex Price, works day-to-day with the organization's leadership team and charity partners while also helping to establish nycTIES' strategic mission.
Alex's roots in philanthropy first caught hold as a young child when his dad, Billy, would take him to soup kitchens to help feed the homeless, and when his family - despite their modest means - would annually provide a full Christmas for a needy family during the holiday season.
Mission
nycTIES' mission is to enable young professionals to strengthen their ties to New York City through partnerships with local charities. Members learn the tangible impact of philanthropic giving and develop invaluable leadership skills by serving charities through raising funds, awareness, and applying their personal skills and talents.
Our Impact
When we build strong TIES to great organizations, the resulting impact is exponential. Over the three years since our founding, the men and women of nycTIES have partnered with six critical nonprofit organizations, developing as leaders while making a tangible impact on New York City.
