From the Stage to the Streets:

nycTIES Annual Fall Benefit

nycTIES, a young professionals nonprofit service organization raising funds for NYC charities will host their annual fall benefit, From the Stage to the Streets on Wednesday, November 12th from 7–11 pm at TOUCH Nightclub, 240 W. 52nd Street.

From the Stage to the Streets is a two part fundraising initiative, which was kicked off on September 27th with an inspiring classical music concert by composer David Homan. The second and final event on November 12th is a variety show emceeded by Nickelodeon’s Ryan Willard featuring the talents of such acts as Cherub Improv, The Hip Hop Dance Conservatory, singer/songwriter Julia Ilowiecki, The Metropolines and more.

Proceeds of both events will combine to benefit current charity partner, New Alternatives for Children who provides health and social services to 400+ New York City children with medical disabilities and/or chronic illnesses.

"NAC is thrilled to be the beneficiary of this initiative," says Jessica Lutzke, Director of Volunteers and Community Relations for NAC. "These troubling economic times are difficult on NYC's nonprofit community, so we couldn't have partnered with nycTIES at a better time. It's a wonderful way for NAC to increase it's funding, attract new volunteers and mentors, and raise awareness for our cause among a new and coveted young professional audience."

Corporate sponsor Moet Hennessy has donated $5,000 in addition to sponsoring a two-hour Belvedere vodka open bar for the November 12th event. nycTIES anticipates approximately 400 attendees including business and civic leaders in addition to several media outlets.

“Today everyone’s thinking about the tough economic times we’re in, how it’s going to effect us personally, and more importantly those who are less fortunate," says Alex Price, president of nycTIES, “We see this initiative as a chance for all the city’s young professionals to take an active role in addressing the crisis, helping one of New York’s most important nonprofits serve families in great need.”
