Member of the Month

Jessica Brenner

Every month a different nycTIES member will be chosen as our “Member of the Month” because he/she has made such an impact on our cause (and on us!) that we felt it was about time they got called out and given a virtual round of applause for being such a philanthropic rockstar. The person who is awarded the MOTM title by the powers that be at nycTIES hasn’t just given an impressive amount of time to charity, but they’ve also really proved how dedicated they are to our group by being a face in the crowd that everyone recognizes and wants to get to know more.

So, for December meet Jessica Brenner. Check out Jessica's vital stats below and made sure to give her a pat on the back next time you see her!

A little over a year.

  • How did you get involved with TIES?
I got involved in TIES through my brother, Scott, but really got into the organization once I met the young professionals involved and saw their passion for making a difference in NYC..

  • What do you do for the organization? (What is your role?)
I help both the Strategy & Development team and the Events team by planning the fall benefit and other special events to cultivate donors, board recruitment, and the overall fundraising strategy/ grant applications..

  • What makes TIES special for you?
It allows me to make a meaningful impact to the city that I have always loved. I not only have been introduced to and get to work with a great group of nonprofits, but also a great group of young professionals. What are you doing and where can we find you when you're not busy doing stuff for TIES or working? (I.e. what do you do for fun?) I love cooking, running in Central Park, skiing, cheering on the Gators and going to Broadway shows and concerts.
